NEW! You will use the same password for myNWCC, webmail, canvas, computers on campus and your H-Drive store.
H DRIVE: As a student of Northwest, you have a 100 MB file space available to you (“H” drive). This file space is located on a Northwest server and is backed up daily. The “H” drive is available on campus as well as off campus. “H” drive storage space will be deleted after one year of inactivity. If there is something you would like to keep, put it on a jump drive or the hard drive of your personal PC.
To access the drive while on a NWCC computer using Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, click on “File”, “Open”, and click on “Computer” and then look to the pane on the right and choose your “H” drive.
This drive is also accessible by clicking on “My Computer”. The “H” drive will appear under the section entitled “Network Location”.
To access your “H” drive from your dorm room or off campus click here or go to the Northwest home page (www.northwestms.edu). Look at the blue stripe near the top of the page and click on “Information”. Look under “Technology Help” on the sub-menu and click on “H-Drive”. You will get a security alert screen. Click on “continue to this website”. You will be directed to a login screen. Your Username is your first initial of your first name, last name, last 4 digits of your student ID. Your password is the same as your myNWCC password.
