Civil Engineering Technology at the Senatobia campus, is a rigorous, high quality program designed to provide you with instruction based on the practical application of the principles of civil engineering technology. The program covers topics such as drafting, surveying, construction materials, GPS/GIS and more. Both the Civil Engineering Technology Associate in Applied Science degree and the Civil Technology Certificate of Completion are available.
A graduate is prepared to work with the surveyor or civil engineer in the performance of general engineering practices which may include GIS design, drawing and interpreting working drawings, determining equipment, materials and labor required to complete a project, and performing various tests required for construction. Small class size allows our instructors to give plenty of one-on-one instruction. Students who graduate from Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Civil Technology program receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree or a certificate in civil technology (complete a minimum of 32 semester credit hours in the program).
