The Division of Learning Resources at Northwest Mississippi Community College will celebrate Money Smart Week, April 5-12 with a special program, “Give Yourself Some Credit” on Monday, April 7 from noon to 1 p.m. in the R.C. Pugh Library Viewing Room.
The program is designed to teach participants about credit, including how to get a free credit report and what that report means. It will also outline what to do if a credit card is stolen, and other questions regarding credit.
“If you learn about your credit report and credit score, you can take steps to improve them. Having the best credit score possible is important so that you can get the best loan with the lowest interest rate, which will save you a lot of money in the future,” said Maya Berry, digital librarian.
The public is invited to attend this free program. For more information, contact Berry at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information on Money Smart Week, visit moneysmartweek.org.
