Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Hotel and Restaurant Management Technology program will host their Culinary Spring Luncheon Wednesday, April 2 at noon. This year’s event will be held at First Choice Catering, located at 5905 Scott Blvd. in Horn Lake.
Students in the program’s culinary I and II classes will prepare and serve the meal. “We are excited to once again be hosting our spring luncheon,” said Kay Mistilis, program instructor. “Patrons will get the chance to experience an incredible menu prepared by our talented student chefs.”
The menu will consist of Caprese salad and tomato bisque, Parmesan puffs, encrusted chicken breast stuff with a cream cheese, spinach and vegetables served with a Parmesan sauce, homemade bread and Bananas Foster crème brulee (menu items subject to change). Price is $12, payable in advance if possible, and funds support students in the college’s Collegiate DECA organization.
Mistilis said that additional seating is available since the venue has changed to First Choice. “First Choice is just three minutes from the DeSoto Center, near the corner of Hwy 51 and Nail Rd. It will be easy to get to, and there is much more seating available,” Mistilis said.
