Auditions for Northwest production of “Story Theatre” set for Jan. 15

StoryTheatre5The community is invited to audition for Northwest’s upcoming production of “Story Theatre” by Paul Sills. Auditions will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Senatobia campus. Performances for the play are set for March 27-30, according to Northwest Technical Director David Morgan. There will be no callbacks, Morgan said.

“Story Theatre” is a show for all ages that consists of a collection of the Grimm Brothers classic fairy tales and Aesop’s fables. According to Morgan, there are multiple parts up for grabs. Morgan expects to cast an ensemble of eight to 10 members.

“Roles include animal characters, magical characters and fairy tale personalities. All actors will be playing multiple roles. This show is very child friendly. Because there are several stories in the play, a few scenes will be directed by Northwest students,” Morgan said.
