SENATOBIA – Northwest Mississippi Community College will host its annual Ranger Rodeo, presented by Sycamore Bank and TDL Contractors, Inc., April 25-27 at the Northwest Multipurpose Arena.
The main event will begin at 7:30 each night, running from Thursday through Saturday.
Collegiate cowboys and cowgirls from 15 colleges and universities from across a seven-state area will converge on Senatobia for three nights of action as they ride and rope, hoping to garner points that will qualify them to compete at the College National Finals this June in Casper, Wyoming.
Rodeo fans will have the opportunity to see some of the rankest livestock in the country as the big trucks from the Universal Rodeo Company roll into town. Pat Hughes, a local legend, will entertain the crowd as our rodeo clown along with Kentucky rodeo announcer Ed Rehmus.
The Northwest Rodeo Alumni and Boosters guarantee a fun night for the entire family. The popular Mutton Bustin’ event is back with a $10 pre-registration fee each night and the champions from each night’s event will receive a buckle. Please contact Shelli Benton in advance for details.
Tickets are on sale at any Sycamore Bank location, the Tate County Co-Op and the Northwest Foundation office. General admission is $10 at the gate and $8 in advance, while children six-and-under are free with a paid adult.
On Thursday night, admission is free with a Northwest staff or student ID. Friday is Autism Awareness Night. Saturday is Military Night, where all military personnel are admitted free with a military ID. There is also a $20 three-day pass available for purchase.
