POSITION: Grant Writer/Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree is required. Knowledge of funding sources including foundations and federal, state, and local funding agencies and grant application procedures. Demonstrated success in writing and securing funds resulting from grant proposal. Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills. Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills. Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, and database management. Ability to multi-task under deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with college-wide employees and leadership regarding grant application and processes. Coordinate overall strategic efforts to obtain grant funds. Research, identify, and secure funding opportunities for programs in the College. Review request for application documents and grant guidelines. Prepare letters of intent, assist and coordinate writing, editing, and reviewing of grant proposal contents. Plan grant strategy, timeline, and oversee grant development. Prepare support documents and grant budget. Review and proofread grant proposals for contents, compliance, and errors. Upload and submit grant application to funding agency prior to deadline. Create templates of generic information, such as the college history, state and local demographics, mission statement, faculty, budget sheet, etc. Follow-up on the progress of submitted proposals. Maintain funded grant database and post-grant management. Writes reports to funding agency. Work as a grant liaison for college and funding agency. Write and coordinate institutional grants for college. Perform other duties as assigned.
