Nursing Division receives donation from “Shoot for the Heart”

The Northwest Mississippi Community College Division of Nursing received a check for $30,000 from the Shoot for the Heart fundraiser held in April. On hand for the check presentation were (l-r) Patti Gordon, director of Alumni Affairs and Development Operations; Sybil Canon, associate vice president of Development and Special Projects; Leslie Legendre, administrative assistant, Division of Nursing; Tommy Thornsburg of Coldwater, Lindsey McKee of Olive Branch and Victoria Grimm of Olive Branch, students;  Keith Wilson, founder of Shoot for the Heart; Tom Pittman, president of The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi; Dr. Michael Heindl, Northwest president; Dr. Denise Bynum, Director of Nursing Instruction; Dr. Matthew Domas, vice president of Academic Instruction and College Parallel Programs; Theresa Erickson, community development director, The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi; Ashlyn Miller of Southaven; Victoria Gregoire of Olive Branch and Hanna Grace Legendre of Senatobia, students.  The money will be used for nursing scholarships and to purchase and maintain nursing laboratory and simulation equipment.
