Northwest Nursing students honored at graduate luncheon

Right, These Northwest Mississippi Community College Nursing students were recently inducted into Northwest’s Gamma Zeta chapter of Alpha Delta Nu, a national nursing honor society. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA in nursing classes and overall. Pictured front row (l-r) are Carla Delucia of Olive Branch, Dee Wages of Senatobia, Shelby Muccillo of Southaven, Daphne Bishop of Hernando, Lindsay Coburn of Southaven, Rachel Henson of Tunica, Abbey Massey of Sardis, Madalyn Gresham of Holly Springs and Caleb Seal of Byhalia. Left, Northwest Mississippi Community College nursing student Carla DeLucia of Olive Branch, left, was the recipient of a $1000 scholarship from the Mississippi Nurses Foundation. The scholarship was made possible by the Emma Burdonne Young Scholarship Fund. Young was a nurse in the Gulfport area for more than 50 years. Presenting the scholarship was Rosalyn Howard, executive director, Mississippi Nurses Foundation.
