Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Hotel and Restaurant Management Technology program will host their Culinary Spring Luncheon Wednesday, March 29 at noon. The event will be held at First Choice Catering, located at 5905 Scott Blvd. in Horn Lake. The event is sponsored by First Choice Catering and Taste of DeSoto.
Students in the program’s culinary I and II classes will prepare and serve the meal, which features locally-sourced catfish. The menu will consist of a tomato and cucumber salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing and parmesan encrusted catfish over a bed of pasta primavera. Dessert will be Chef Debbie’s decadent bourbon pecan bars with bourbon vanilla bean crème anglaise.
Price is $15, payable in advance if possible, and funds support students in the college’s Collegiate DECA organization. First Choice catering is located just three minutes from Northwest’s DeSoto Center, near the corner of Hwy 51 and Nail Rd.
