Northwest Homecoming Carnival to raise money for health majors

Northwest Mississippi Community College’s volunteerism group, Northwest Cares, will be hosting a children’s carnival at their second annual Fall Family Fun-Raiser from 10 a.m .to 12:30 p.m. on the Ag Field between the Haraway Center and the Coliseum before the Homecoming game Saturday, Oct. 22.

Children of all ages will enjoy carnival games and prizes. Games include bean bag toss, football toss and pluck a duck.

Other activities include face painting, sand art, one-on-one basketball hoops, inflatable tee ball and inflatable obstacle course and slide.

All proceeds from the carnival will benefit the Northwest Cares Health Major Exam Assistance Fund. The exam fund will help with medical exam costs for Northwest health majors who have financial need and otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford these additional expenses.

Donations can be made during the carnival.
