Northwest Back Acres Foundation Golf Tournament to be held May 2
The annual Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation Golf Tournament, which is usually held in the fall, has been moved to Tuesday, May 2 at Back Acres Country Club in Senatobia, according to Dolores Wooten, director of Alumni Affairs and Development operations.
The Foundation is still seeking teams and sponsors for the event, which is a four-man scramble. The deadline to register is April 30.
Fees are $85 per person and carts are $10 per person and should be reserved by April 15. A $300 hole sponsor entitles one person to play free, and a $1,000 corporate sponsor entitles the whole team to play free. Match and win is $5 per card.
The day will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a light lunch and social hour. The tournament begins at 1 p.m. and ends with a supper following play. There will be two flights, championship and tournament to be determined on the day of play.
Prizes are gift certificates to Back Acres Country Club for each flight. First place is $400 per team, second place is $300 per team and third place is $200 per team. There are prizes for “closest to the pin” on all Par 3s, Wooten said.
