    POSITION: Hands-on Supervisor of Transportation

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1.Must have a valid CDL license or qualify and obtain a Class “A” license within 90 days of employment.
    2.Must have State of Mississippi certification for performing motor vehicle inspections or must obtain same within 90 days of employment.
    3.Must have automotive refrigerant license or obtain same within 90 days of employment.
    4.Must be comfortable and proficient using a PC computer.  A skill test including email and internet searches will be required.
    5.Two years college or Tech school with automotive training preferred.
    6.Five years experience of transportation industry maintenance and repairs including but not limited to: small engine repair, construction equipment, automotive vehicles and Ag equipment.  The range of repairs can be anything from a tail light to an engine overhaul.  Also experience in cosmetic improvements including body work and graphics will be preferred.
    7.Candidates must have good diagnostic skills and the ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, parts manuals etc.
    8.Candidates must have excellent mechanical aptitude and be a proficient mechanic with the knowledge and skills of automotive tools and equipment.
    9.Must have three years direct supervision and responsibility of at least three employees in a shop environment.
    10. Proficiency in cutting and welding for general metal fabrication is desired.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Manage Fuel Man system and review reports monthly.
    2. Manage fleet of 70 units including service records, work orders, vehicle assignments and rotation, winterization and inspections.
    3.Manage the shop including routine maintenance, servicing, repairs, fabrication, and washing.
    4.Monitor and maintain the GPS tracking system.
    5.Provide hands-on diagnostics and repairs ranging from a tail light repair to an engine overhaul.
    6.Purchase supplies and repair parts.  Acquisitions include following purchasing laws and policies, requisitions and credit card procedures.
    7.Supervise shop and clerical personnel and enforce the Personnel Policy Manual.  Review time cards; sign off on leave forms and council employees.
    8.Make service calls to all campuses and make respond appropriately to after hour calls.
    9.Other duties as assigned.

    TITLE: Digital Services Librarian

    QUALIFICATIONS: Northwest Learning Resources Center in Senatobia seeks a creative, collaborative, learner-centered professional librarian to partner with academic departments by collaborating with faculty, students and other librarians to advance Northwest’s digital presence. ALA accredited Master's Degree in Library and Information Science is required.

    REPORTS TO: The Director of Learning Resources

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Ten month faculty position

    HOURS: Monday – Friday, hours to be determined, but possibly nights.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Provide leadership for planning, implementing and maintaining subject guides on library website, and online tools in support of teaching, learning, and research.

    2. Oversee the operation of computer, media lab, storage, and viewing rooms. Duties include: managing staff, maintenance of all equipment, collection development of AV materials for faculty and students, schedule faculty reserves of equipment, schedule viewing room, maintain statistics, and track withdrawals of AV media and equipment.

    3. Envision, develop and exercise digital projects by incorporating new technologies including social media to facilitate library instruction.

    4. Use analytic tools to show institutional outcomes such as student retention and cost effectiveness.

    5. Lead equipment inventory for three LRCs; plus, participate in annual inventory.

    6. Demonstrate use of media equipment with students, faculty and staff.

    7. Purchase new equipment or repair existing equipment according to library budget.

    8. Write or revise policies to include student friendly use of AV media and equipment, instructions on use of AV media and equipment, and weekly posts to social media promoting AV media and equipment to students, faculty and staff.

    9. Participate in reference interviews and instructional services.

    10. Earn minimum of 15 hours faculty development credit per year, maintain memberships in professional organizations, and keep current in the field.

    11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Learning Resources.

    12. Conform to school policy as set forth in the Policy and Procedures Manual.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructor is responsible for both classroom and clinical instruction.     POSITION:  Career-Technical Education District Dean


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Master’s degree which includes a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours of graduate credit in administration, supervision, or leadership.
    2. A minimum of two (2) years teaching or counseling experience in Career-Technical Education; five (5) years or more experience is preferred.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Career-Technical Education District Dean has district wide responsibility for planning, directing, and supervising both the career technical education and workforce development programs of the institution, including:


    1. Maintaining all accreditation standards or other standards affecting career technical programs set by the regional accrediting agency, specific program accrediting agencies or by the governing board;
    2. Advising the Vice President for Educational Affairs as to the conduct of the career technical division with particular interest being given to citing excellence and making recommendations for improvements;
    3. Establishing procedures for planning and evaluation of the career technical instructional program;
    4. Working with the career technical faculty on all campuses, center deans, and the Vice President for Educational Affairs in the formulation of educational goals that are consistent with the instructional purpose;
    5. Recruiting, selecting, and recommending career technical faculty;
    6. Recommending the schedule of classes for the career technical division;
    7. Recommending the budget for the career technical division;
    8. Developing, planning and implementing in-service training programs for career technical faculty;
    9. Developing, planning and implementing new career technical programs;
    10. Participating in the plans of new construction or physical expansions of career technical facilities;
    11. Maintaining records of inventory, faculty, etc. requested by the Mississippi Department of Education - Office of Career Technical Education, and the College;
    12. Maintaining records and reporting of standards required by Mississippi Community College Board;
    13. Coordinating the development of the local plan;
    14. Submitting reimbursement requests to MDE for federal equipment monies and Career Technical Faculty salaries;
    15. Supervising the NWCC farm manager and Arena manager
    16. Supervising and supporting the Director of Workforce Development/WIA and Community Service and all functions falling under that position (Workforce Development, Adult Basic Education [ABE], Continuing Education, and WIA);
