A selection committee at each center recommends students desiring to enter this program based on the following criteria:

1. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Applicants must be a high school graduate or have an official copy of GED scores showing high school equivalency.
3. Applicants must have an enhanced ACT composite of 16.
4. Applicants must submit three letters of personal reference.
5. Applicants must make State Department of Education, Career-Technical Department's minimum score on one or more achievement tests designated by the college, or must have completed the following courses in the last five years with a "C" or better grade, or show evidence of equivalent:

• EPY 2533, Human Growth and Development,
• BIO 2514/2524, Anatomy and Physiology I and II,
• HEC 1253, Nutrition.

The Director will inform the applicant of the steps necessary in completing the admission procedure. Acceptance to this program will come directly from the Director and not the Admissions Office. Admission applications should be sent to both the Registrar and to the respective program director.
