Administrative System Access
Each full time faculty member is assigned a User ID and Password. In the event that someone leaves Northwest, their ID is deleted from the system and a new ID and password are assigned to their replacement. Adjunct faculty may access the system by use of a common ID and Password which can be acquired from their supervisor.
The system requires that passwords must be changed by each user every 120 days. Passwords may also be changed by the Computer Center at the request of the supervisor and/or individual. All users are advised to sign-off their terminals when their office is unoccupied. |

Email Addresses/Access
Applications for electronic mail accounts will be accepted at the Help Desk. Users are responsible for the safekeeping of their e-mail password, and agree not to share or give their password to another user. Messages transmitted by e-mail are not private.
Email accounts may be accessed from each users computer on campus, or via the Web Site by using the "Webmail" Quick Link. |

Phone Services
Each faculty office is equipped with a phone for local calling. Faculty may use major calling cards for making personal long distance calls. To request a long distance access for business purposes, a request must be submitted to your supervisor. They will then forward it on through the appropriate chain of command. If the request is approved, an access code will be issued to that instructor. Instructors are responsible for the safekeeping of their access code, and agree not to share or give their code to any other employee or to a student. |
