Three Northwest Mississippi Community College softball players have earned post-season honors for their performances during the 2008 season.

They are Alicia Malone of Hernando, Sarah Gill of Olive Branch, and Chelsea Shepherd of Horn Lake.

Malone, a sophomore pitcher, was named All-Region XXIII, first team MACJC All-State. Malone posted a record of 9-7 with 78 strikeouts in 103 innings.

Gill, a freshman pitcher, chalked up a record of 6-11 with a team-leading 92 strikeouts in 102 innings. Gill was chosen second team All-State. She also .356 with 34 runs scored and 16 RBI.

Shepherd, a freshman infielder, was selected second team All-State. Shepherd batted .333 with 21 runs scored, 17 RBI, and a team-leading three home runs.
