Oakley finishes 25th
at NJCAA Division II Tournament
Northwest Mississippi Community College sophomore golfer T. Robert Oakley capped off his career at the school by placing 25th at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament May 20-23 at Palm Valley Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz.

Oakley, of Senatobia, finished 14 over with a four-day score of 302. Oakley shot a 78 on the first day of the event, then followed that up with a 76 and a 75. Oakley's best score was a 73 in the final round.
Oakley's final score of 302 placed him 13 shots behind champion Marc Rice of Tyler Junior College who turned in a 289. Oakley's score was the leader among the 10 players from Region XXIII that qualified for the event.
Oakley earned a berth in the tournament by placing third in the MACJC State and Region XXIII Tournament. For his efforts, Oakley was named to the All-Region team.
Oakley was Northwest's most consistent golfer all season by placing in the top six in four of five tournaments this spring.
